How are rainbows formed?

What I wish I knew about rainbows, instead of just thinking they were magic. It's all about the sunlight and raindrops! When sunlight hits a raindrop, it bends, or refracts, then reflects off the back of the drop. As it exits, it refracts again, spreading the light into a spectrum of colors. That's your rainbow! Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet - all of the above.
